In the year 1995, Prof. Meenakshi Apte along with Mrs. Sulabha Joshi and Mrs. Suchitra Date, laid the stone of Swadhar IDWC (Institute for Development of Women and Children) in Pune – an organisation which was to now work for the development of not just underprivileged women, but children too.
